We are pleased to announce the 2nd BCF Short Story Contest!
This is open to members of the forum with 25+ posts, and will be judged by your fellow forum members.
You are invited to submit a short story, which must be suitable for a general audience (so nothing 18+ please!). There’s no word limit, and you can cover any genre, but your story must begin with one of the following sentences:
~ She watched the spider make its way across the window sill.
~ You’ll never believe what just happened to me as I walked through the park!
~ He finally had the proof he needed.
Entries are to be sent to me, with a closing date of Saturday 4th April 2009, which gives you four weeks. After this date, all entries will be posted by myself, on this blog, so that they all remain anonymous.
Please email entries to storycomp@bookclubforum.co.uk, including your username and real name. This is a temporary email address for this contest only, and I will be the only person with access. (If you wish to send me a PM letting me know you have entered, I can reply to it with confirmation of receipt.)
One entry per person please!
Once all entries are up on the blog, a voting thread will be opened on the forum, and the closing date will be announced. After this date, the entry with the highest vote will be declared the winner!
Prizes… you’ll have to wait and see! (But it will depend on your location, and therefore the possible postage costs!)
I look forward to all the entries.. good luck one and all!
